Outdoor High-Voltage Equipment Upgrade in Asia — Mountainous Terrain

1. Project Overview

In April 2026, JYDQ supplied outdoor high-voltage switching, isolation, and protection equipment for a grid upgrade project in a mountainous region of Asia. The project's primary challenge was the installation and commissioning of equipment at elevated sites with limited vehicle access, frequently foggy and high-humidity conditions, and significant day-night temperature variations.

JYDQ's technical team worked in close coordination with the local utility and installation contractor to ensure all equipment was correctly positioned, connected, and tested. Despite the logistical complexity, the entire scope was completed on schedule with zero quality non-conformances.

2. Engineering for Harsh Environments

The equipment supplied for this project was configured with JYDQ's enhanced environmental package: silicone-rubber composite insulators with hydrophobic surface properties for superior pollution performance in foggy conditions, stainless-steel fasteners and hardware throughout to prevent corrosion in high-humidity environments, extended creepage distance bushings, and anti-condensation heaters in all control enclosures.

The project's success highlights JYDQ's ability to deliver tailored high-voltage solutions for the most demanding geographic and climatic conditions — from desert heat to tropical humidity to alpine cold.
